★ back to the drawing board 重新開始、從頭來過
▽ 例句：Jerry had to go back to the drawing board after his first proposal was rejected.傑瑞在第一個提案遭拒後必須重新開始。
drawing board 指「繪圖板」，back to the drawing board 引申表「（失敗後）重新開始」之意。
同義：back to square one。
★ catch sb at a bad time 打擾到某人
▽ 例句：Oh, I'm sorry, did I catch you at a bad time? I can come back.噢，對不起，我是不是打擾到你了？我可以晚一點再來。
字面意思為「在不好的時機抓住某人」，也就是「打擾某人」。
★ give sb a ring 打電話給某人
▽ 例句： Helen gave her parents a ring as soon as she heard the news.海倫一聽到這個消息就打電話給她爸媽。
名詞 ring 在口語中可指「打電話」。
同義：give sb a buzz/call。
