Song –What do you want for Christmas?
Steps:
- Show some pictures of Christmas Vocabulary from the book and introduce a little about Christmas.
- Play the song and discuss with students about “What do they want for Christmas?” after the video.
Steps:
- Ask some wh-questions from the book cover:
2. How many Christmas trees do you see?
3. Are they having fun?
4. Do you like Christmas?
5. Is it cold or hot on Christmas?
- Play the audio of the story first time.
- Read and ask students to repeat after the story by Live Pen.
- Listen to the song and sing along with students. Teachers can add some actions to have fun with students.
Steps:
1. Discuss the story with students. Show Fun & Game page to students and discuss about the answers. 2. Teacher prepares some paper for students to make paper balls. Teacher can take them outside the classroom if possible. Tell them about the safety rules and have fun playing the Snowball Fight!
4. Wrap up – Ask some wrap up questions (5 mins)
Steps:
Ask some wrap up questions and discuss the answers with students. For example,
A. Would you like to write a postcard for Father Christmas?
B. What is always on the top of a Christmas tree?
C. What has been blown away?
D. Who gives Father Christmas some help?
E. What do you want for Christmas?
- Discuss the answers with students.
