▲Song – Try Everything Song Sing Along
Steps:
- Show the video and talk about the story of Zootopia. A rabbit is small and weak, but she tried so hard to become a good police. She starts her adventure…
- Discuss with students about “how to be strong” or “what things are they afraid of?” after the video.
2. Story time – Read the story (15 mins)
Steps:
- Ask some leading questions from the book cover.
- Play the audio of the story first time.
- Read and ask students to repeat after the story by Live Pen.
Steps:
- Discuss the worksheet with students.
- Go through the answer with students.
- Watch Dandelion’s life video and talk about why they have this “life cycle”
- Monster Cleanup: In the classroom, create some cartoon monsters and stick them on the walls or in different corners of the room. The children use "magical" items (like paper magic wands or toy swords) to "defeat" these monsters. This game helps children face and overcome their fear of monsters in a fun and relaxed way.
Steps:
- Ask some wrap up questions. For example:
2. With whose help can all the dandelions fly to where they dreamed?
3. Who come to encourage Little Dandelion to fly with everyone? What do they see?
4. What does Little Dandelion say to himself before flying?
5. What are you afraid of? How can we overcome it?
- Discuss the answers with students.
